Unless Mistake on Page 60

by annies581 Mon Nov 11, 2019 1:08 am

Hey guys,

Is question six on page 60 in regards to the unless question a mistake? It reads " The kingdom will be destroyed unless we stop the evil wizard"

The diagram should be K-> /EW and contrapositive would be EW -> /K

The answer key is writing it as /EW -> K and contrapositive K -> EW

The answer key says

~SW --> KD
~KD --> SW

That means, "if we don't stop the wizard, the kingdom will be destroyed".
"If the kingdom doesn't get destroyed, then we must have stopped the wizard."

That's correct.

UNLESS = if not

So when we see "unless we stop the wizard", we know we put the negated form of that as left side of the arrow ...
"IF we don't stop the wizard"

If you spot something else you think is an error, check the Errata page
https://www.manhattanprep.com/lsat/erra ... lb-1st-ed/
to see if it's already been found

if you're feeling kind, email
lsaterrata@manhattanprep.com

That'll get a quicker response usually than forum posts. Thanks for looking out!
