Time management and shift of thinking

by xinglipku Tue Aug 28, 2012 5:16 am

I found this is really frustrating - I can have 3-5 minutes left for LR section (with OK accuracy) and generally I can also do LG within time limit, but the time for Reading is terribly insufficient for me. Sometimes I find that I can answer the reading questions correctly but actually I don't think I understand what is talking about in the passage (but this is very rare..). For most of the time, I tried to understand every piece of information in a passage (sometimes even re-read several times) but then the time is significantly lacking. But if I just skip, I find it's pretty hard to answer 2-3 detail related questions in each passage. Somehow I really don't know what to do about it. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Im in the same boat (except mine is sinking). I seem to be able to read and annotate the article and answer 2 of 5 (or 4) questions before my 6 minute timer runs out.... It seems that this is ridiculously hard to do in the time constraint. Even reading the questions take longer than a minute at times. Such as Dec 2003, S3, P4 which is a ton of information but the questions themselves are ridiculously long itself. Any tips to reduce from 12-15 minutes to 6. AND get the problems right... i am able to get all the questions right if i read them and eliminate them but even reading them is taking too much time!! ahhh im so frustrated with RC!
