Re: Q3 - Harry: Airlines have made it

B is incorrect because it shifts the terms. Judith is talking about flights being too expensive in terms of money. Answer choice B deals with people's "rights" which are irrelevant to Judith's rebuttal. Answer choice E is correct because it relates Judith's response regarding money to Harr...

Re: Q14 - In a learning experiment

I got this one wrong too. After going through it, here's what I've gleaned: I initially was looking for an answer that said something to the effect of "There could be another factor, like X, that could affect the rats." B, while it words it in an odd way, says that. It says that there coul...

Re: Q15 - New legislation would require

Interesting point you made about it being too strong.

I think a key I'm starting to discover more and more is that, yes, most strong answers are wrong. BUT, they are correct when you're trying to fill a logical gap. In this case, if that principle were established, it would make the logic sound.

Re: Q17 - The Gulches is an area

I actually agree with nonamee-- the presence of more glaciers would, in fact, create more water. BUT, I ruled out C pretty easily for one reason: it didn't say that these glaciers were on top of this mountain. It just said that they were "in the area". So the fact that there are more glaci...

Re: Q24 - When the rate of inflation

A would, in fact, explain the result, but it is not necessary. The prompt asked for what "must be true". This is really a must be true question. C) is correct because it is the only thing that is true under all circumstances. A and D both give answers that would explain the result, but the...

Re: Q18 - The format of network television

A) B) and E) can all pretty quickly be eliminated. C) and D) are very similar so let's delve into them. C) Is incorrect because yes, it says television instead of network television (the argument isn't really assuming that all of television is doing this, it's only assuming that it's the case for ne...

Q9

Wow, this game was hard-- I'd heard about it before and it lived up to its billing-- I finished in 10:50, -1, (#9) but was hoping to get some more evaluation of how exactly the best way to attack a game like this is.

Re: Q14

This is a tricky question. But when you look at the conditionals, see that there are two different templates you could use with the placement of M. In both of them, it designates where S is. So when you are determining where to place S, he can be in one of two spots-- playing golf (in which case we ...

Re: Q17

I had it down to A and C and spent a good amount of time deciding between the two. I concluded that C was wrong because it just goes one step farther than A and it's not supported. Also, if you read it closely, it says that the climate will resemble the tropics. How would the time theory even suppor...

Re: Q22

I got the answer right, but upon review spent 20 minutes on the question trying to make sense of why the other answers were wrong. It's a tough one. C is wrong because it sneaks in that term shift that isn't supported by the text. Slavery was not institutionalized (or at least, we can't infer it fro...

Re: Q3

Yeah, I thought this question was BS too. I agonized over it and picked A since it seemed to be talked about most in the passage, but I thought it was a crappy answer. I think C is even worse.

Re: Q16 - Corporate business, like species, must

This one really throws me for a loop. Had it down to E and C, thought E was an answer to a sufficient assumption question, and C was not.

Both, if negated, destroy the argument. Help!
