Re: The Official 2009 Summer LSAT TEAM

Just started the Live On-Line class today (7/12/2009). Just wondering if any other participants would like to form our own study group to use during out of class time. I'm taking the September 26th test and this is pretty much my full time job. If anybody is interested, just reply to this post. If e...

LSAT 12 Class Course Study Group

Mentioned this idea in the other thread, but it probably deserves its own topic heading. If anybody is interested, and I guess it really could include anyone who's participating in a current class for the the September LSAT, just post on this thread and Noah will help us to set up our own page throu...

Re: E41, s2, g4 Eight People - ... sit at a table

I just have to say Dan... THAT WAS THE MOTHER LOAD OF ALL GAME EXPLANATIONS!! :D Wow!! Thanks for putting in the time. I printed it out and am going to go over the game again tomorrow, and then probably in another week. I feel if I can get comfortable with "curve ball" games like this... i...

Game 4, Rockers and Folk

My basic diagram had 2 rows, N and S with 6, 8, 10 for N and 8, 10, 12 for S. After diagramming out the rules and making the no Q or H in 6 and no G in 12, every question seemed to take forever to solve as I had to go through multiple hypotheticals. Anyone have any clues on where I went wrong and wh...

Q9

9. C and D are the same -- there must be some mistake there. A) we can see (A) canʼt be true. If L is out, F is in, and vice-versa. B) canʼt be true based on the rules off to the side C) could be true D) could be true E) canʼt be true based on chain Hey Dan... great set up!! Thank you. On #9 I d...

Q8 - Linguist: Only if a sentence

For some reason, this type of question is the bane of my existence. It should be easy, but for some reason, I can't diagram the Sufficient and Necessary correctly to arrive at the correct answer. I'm missing a key piece or understanding of the conditional reasoning. I've read the Superprep explanati...

Game 3, Questions 13-18

Looks like it should be binary grouping, but if it is, I have no idea how you'd set it up. Anyone have any clues?

Re: Game 3, Questions 13-18

Thanks Noah! I give you kudos for coming up with a diagram for that one! But I agree, after you make the inference that a pair from the parakeets will always be presented, the questions seemed to follow from off that. I think it's a good game to go over none the less as it trains you to press forwar...

PT 57, Sec 2, #16

Ok, maybe I'm just caught up in semantics, or I've not correctly identified all the parts of this argument. I know that the "dictation software fails to live up to its billing" is the main conclusion. My question is that the last sentence seems to me to be an intermediate conclusion; The l...

PT 53, Sec 2, Game #2 6-11

OK, what should have been a simple relative ordering game, but rules 2 and 3 threw me off my game. If I'm correct, I believe even the contrapositive came into play. With that, other than 3 separate sets of rules, I wasn't able to come up with a main diagram. I seems like a couple of frames should cr...

Q12

I am confused by the wording of Question #12 on this game as well. If anyone could shed some light, it would be appreciated.

PT59, S1, G4 - Six Annual Meetings

This game seems like it should be easy, but is riddled with apparently endless possibilities. I've stared at this thing and I can't seem to come up with any major deductions that crack it wide open. Suggestions?

Re: PT59 Sec. 1, Game 4

Thanks for all your input today mshermn! Yea, it's pretty much a plug and chug no matter how you look at it. MUCH faster the 2nd time through. It just seemed like their had to be a frames solutions and I wasted too much time trying to work something out. LESSON.... if you don't see any major inferen...
