Re: Q5 - Home ownership is a sign of

I answered E for this question, but now I understand why A is correct. A relates to both of the relationships in the premise - home ownership & economic prosperity vs. home ownership & high levels of unemployment. The first one is addressed by A because "jobs are more plentiful" sh...

Re: Q19

Can you go more in depth as to why A is incorrect? Although it's "too extreme", it seems like the only choice that reflects the tone and opinion of the author of passage A, much more so than E.

Re: How to Delete An LSAT From the Navigator?

Just chiming in to say, you can date the test to way before your others, and it will remove the ugly blip from the graph (but still impacts the analysis..). But also it's been over a year since this issue was first mentioned, and I think a delete button for tests would be solid feature to add to the...

Re: Q6 - Clinician: Patients with immune system disorders

Hi, I'm having trouble eliminating answer choice D. The way I thought about it was if the drug that preserves existing bone has been around for as long as the immune system drugs, then the bones of the patients would be preserved and not in need of growth, and therefore the new drug would not need t...

Re: Q16 - Economist: If the economy grows stronger, employment

I was also between B and C, and unfortunately chose C in the practice exam. I now see two reasons that it's incorrect. As the MP tutor mentioned, it references workers in day-care centers instead of day-care workers. Day-care workers don't necessarily have to work in centers, and so this answer choi...

Re: Q17

Can someone please explain how A is ruled out? I chose it because both passages present ideas that oppose their final conclusions - objections to their proposed theories, if you will. Passage A: Second paragraph talks about "justification repaying lies with lies...eye for eye...", and then...

Re: Q22

Hello, I'm still not sold on answer D because the passage never mentions Jewett's conception. From lines 39-39, we learn that her work "embodies 'high-cultural' conception of fiction", but it's never given to us that it was Jewett's intention or perspective. Is there something else that I ...

Re: Q22 - Under the influence of today's

Hello, I am still not totally convinced on answer B. I don't see it has a much better fit than E. The argument contains the conditional: lack of substance -> short-lived books, which when contrapositive-d (using assumed opposites) could be: long-lived books -> do not lack substance. Answer B s...

Re: Q17 - The stable functioning of a

Great question! And the simple answer is no. A claim that is written explicitly can never be an assumption. An assumption is by definition unstated." Hello, What was the question that you were answering here? The original post was deleted. I understand why E is wrong on the grounds that the se...

Strategy question: Read question stem or stimulus first?

Should you read the question stem or stimulus first?? I've finished a certain other training guide book that recommended reading the stem first, and so that's how I've been practicing. But I've also read arguments for reading the stimulus first. I'm doing really well on LR (getting to -2 now) using ...

Re: Q3

How does the second sentence of the second paragraph reflect answer D? For me, that sentence doesn't do much in terms of explaining why the music shouldn't seem alienating.

I appreciate the extra explanation!

Q20 - In a recent study of stroke patients

I originally got this question wrong, but then correctly answered it upon blind review. I was only able to get to the correct answer by POE and am still unsure why D is correct. If someone could explain the argument and why D strengthens it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!!

Re: Q13 - Bethany: Psycologists have discovered

What is the question type for the question?? I thought it is a "supporting principle" and thus sought out the answer that would completely bridge the gap between support and conclusion. The gap I saw is that: why would the techniques that work on adults work on children? Answer choice B di...

Hey, I'm not sure if this is where I would post a comment like this, but on the LSAT Navigator, it marks B as incorrect and says D is the correct answer. Pointing it out so y'all can fix it!!

Re: Q18 - In recent years the climate

^^ I also thought of it as pests of crop insects, and since they aren't established, the crop insects will eat the crops unbothered and cause lower crop yields. What I do not understand about the explanations given above is how do they account for the higher yields in the years before? If pests are ...

Re: Strategy question: Read question stem or stimulus first?

Thanks for your reply!! I have thought a lot about the same things you mentioned, and I don't think I will switch. I did a practice test today trying stimulus first and got way too distracted trying to break my habit of stem first, so I think it's too late for me anyways. I did do some investigation...
