Q11

Hello,

Why is C incorrect? Doesn't this answer choice undermine the idea that legal systems contain a significant degree of intellectual authority?

Re: Q6 - Wood-frame houses withstand

Hi, I'm also still confused why A cannot be correct. It isn't 100% certain that every wood-frame house will survive in an earthquake If this is true, and if there are more wood houses than masonry houses in earth-quake prone areas, then it seems reasonable to conclude that one wood-frame house could...

Q10

I understand why D is correct, but what is wrong with C? I interpreted C as meaning that the works of the three authors are incorrectly viewed as emblematic of the type of works written in that period.

Thanks!

Re: Q13

Hi,

I was also wondering why A is the correct answer.
Why would it be D, doesn't that contradict lines 14-15?
Thanks!

Q26

Hi, I'm having some difficulty eliminating B. If the speakers do not accept that the synonyms for "ball" and "red" express these concepts as elegantly, then it suggests that perhaps the only reason why the synonyms for the two words are not preferable is because there is already ...

Re: Q21

Thank you so much- I definitely misinterpreted lines 50-51, which was key to understanding the author's point of view

Q10 - The symptoms of hepatitis A

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help explain why (D) is wrong and why (E) is correct... I'm a bit confused also about the general discrepancy in the problem.

Thanks!

Re: Q5

Hello,

I also was wondering about question B ... where does it say that tax revenues shouldn't be used to aid other countries according to those who oppose compulsory national service?

Q12

Hello,

I can see why the answer is A, but I still don't feel 100% about it. I initially chose B, since I thought this could be directly inferred from the text, starting with line 24 "the surviving daughters ..."

Hello,

Why is C incorrect? It seems like medieval scholars did not take into account the wealth controlled by medieval women.

Q7

Hi,

I narrowed down my choices to D and E, but had trouble understanding E and why E was ultimately better.

For D, I reasoned that the false crime reports were a factor (like El Nino) that should have been accounted for before making a conclusion.

Thanks!

Q21

Hi, I had trouble deciding between A, C, and E For A, Papi would definitely agree (it's his theory), and judging from the tone it seems like the author also agrees For E, when the author says "...admit of simpler, nonolfactory explanations..," I interpreted that to mean that whatever criti...

Q19

Hello,

I was wondering why C is the correct answer. A, B, and C, all seemed pretty attractive- scientists in each situation are trying to better understand animal behavior by introducing something man-made to mimic something thought to induce that behavior.

Thanks!

Q18 - All actions are motivated

Hello,

Why is D correct? While taking it under timed conditions this question just made my head hurt...can someone help break down the language for answer choices B and D and reword it in simpler terms?

Thanks!
