Re: Q16 - Critic to economist: In yet another

Based on the explanations above I can understand why (A) is correct, but am a little annoyed by (E) and hope someone can give me some insight. Isn't the Economist in response to the Critic directly contradicting the fact that economic policies changed? My understanding is the critic implicitly state...

Re: Q17 - Economist: Some critics of the media have contended th

Thank you for the complete explanation. Quick question: could (A) be correct if it stated "reports about the overall state of the economy affects one's level of confidence in one's own economic situation"? Would this connect the shift from negative news reports --> damage confidence? Th...

Re: Q22 - Some types of organisms originated through endosymbios

Same as the above. At first I choose B because of the "all of" statement, then I switched it E. If something is "engulfing" something then why isn't it reasonable to assume that all of the genetic material is inside of it? On the other hand, why is it reasonable to conclude that ...

Q11 - The annual Journal

Surprised that there is no discussion on this one. I think it is clear that what is needed for the conclusion to follow logically is that Stevens must be a certified psychoanalyst. Where I have a problem is that none of the answers available give that he is a "certified psychoanalyst." (A)...

Re: Q7 - Global ecological problems reduce

Thanks, Christine for clearly showing how (B) can be knocked out. To restate... It doesn't matter if we can determine the limitations of earth's sustainable supply or not -- for even if we could -- it is given that potential demands made by humans is limitless, whereas supply is confined. Doesn't ma...

Re: Q7 - Scientist: Any theory that is to be taken seriously

Rina, thank you for the explanation. I spent more time on this for a #7 than I would have hoped for a reason that you did not mention, and I wanted to run it by you and hear your thoughts. You mentioned that "Conclusion: It is not the case that Affect Perception World --> Take Seriously (APW...

Re: Q6

So this is one where I didn't love the right answer at first, but I was still confident because I was able to eliminate the four wrong ones right away. Wrong to right, baby! (A) is out because the passage never suggests that we will eventually have zero need for zoning laws to regulate traffic. The...
