Hi anyone, I initially chose (E) show that Mphahlele makes no distinction among prose, poetry and drama but I'm unsure where in the quote that one can see what Mphahlele values. I assume with the previous line "writing is the transmission of ideas, and important ideas at that" plays a role...

I narrowed it down to B and D. What are the ways that I can eliminate D? There is a generalization being used to support the conclusion and it is too broad. I guess that the "too broad" is what's wrong with it but just let me know.

Hey, can someone please answer the above question about how B impacts the core of the argument.

Also, I don't think that there is a sufficient explanation for eliminating the other answer choices.

I understood why the right answer was right after the above explanation. I have to mention that it felt like an odd answer choice because it is consistent with the supporting premise. I merely inferred that it could not be the right answer because it repeats the premise and doesn't add anything else...
