Re: Q21 - All social systems are based

Hey guys, I missed this the first time and I just want to see if this could be right: It says the introduction of labor-saving technology that makes certain economic roles obsolete will tend to undermine the values in that social system. So, A: Out because who's to say there aren't things other than...

Re: Q25 - In one-round sealed-bid auctions

Hi,

I am still not quite seeing this one. Is E right because it is saying, otherwise, no one would try to buy it and therefore, a reserve price is needed so people will actually try to bid for it? Thank you!

Re: Logic Challenge #12-Scrabble

Hi,

So on a previous explanation for #5, if F's only game is against K that doesn't mean that that is K's only game. So, isn't B right because G and H have to play each other in the second game , so games 2 through 4 are set, but H or K can play J in the first game? Is that right? Thank you!

Re: Q 2981

Shouldn't the conclusion be phrased differently? Shouldn't it be those who do not take regular naps tend to sleep for more than 7 hours?

Question 2300: Almost all players who specialize in defense.

I get why the right answer is right, but why is the wrong answer wrong? Isn't it just the contrapositive? Or was there a detail creep? I thought there might be a detail creep, but I was not positive. It says they no coach will play a player in a defense position, whereas the stimulus said a defense ...

Q9

Hi guys,

I was between C and D and I picked C. Is C just too narrow and D correct because it talks about the authors opinion?

Thank you!

Q24

I went with D originally, but is D incorrect because of the use of the word goals, i.e. we don't know what the goals of the narrator are?

Thank you!

Q6

Hi, I just want to be sure my thinking on this is correct. If we have the RM and TS chunks then is the only possible place those two could be spot 2,3 or 5,6 (either chunk can go in either spot)? That's what I see upon review (I missed this the first time). Therefore, Fuentes must be fourth and AC A...

Re: Q15

Can someone explain further how A is correct? I don't see much support for it, but this is a very good example of a problem that, from my point of view, requires a person to work from wrong to right.

Passage Discussion

To be honest I really struggled with articulating the scale for this one. I have an idea: Not enough social and political and no distinct African American novelistic style vs. Criticisms too limiting, thematic blend is good (critics vs. Ellison and Author). P1: Background on Invisible Man . Criticis...

Re: Q21 - Political theorist: Newly enacted laws

I am having a difficult time understanding this argument, but here is what I have: Premise: short-term consequences painful + long-term benefits initially obscure Conclusion: Newly enacted laws need a period of immunity I feel that I am leaving out too much with this one. Can someone help? Thank you!

Major Timing Problems

All, I am having problems not in reading time (Typically done in 3-4 minutes), but it's answering the questions. I just really struggle finding relevant text, but I have it notated (I use the A, 1, 2, etc) what I would say is pretty good. I thought I was making solid progress, but then I did the Inc...

Is there a key inference, or is it just plug-n-chug and luckily the first answer is right?

Q3

Here's how I go through this problem:

RX chunk must be somewhere in 5,6,7

Then, just plug-n-chug. Is there a more efficient way?

Q22

What is the best way to attack this one? I am reviewing and so far the best way I can think to attack this question is to use previous work. I lucked out and looked at my diagram for 19 first, which showed that I and M could have zero spots between them. I think I would typically attack a question l...
