Re: Q19 - The format of television news programs ...

Can anyone explain the core of the argument and why (A) weakens it? Or, just check my work. Please! The argument seems to be saying that: 1) Network television leds to reducing the expectation of careful discussion of public issues from the viewer's awareness. 2) Newspaper stories, on the other hand...

Re: Q14 - Some people claim that every

I had fallen for Answer Choice B, since it has the relationship between "trivial" and "serious" that C has. However, you said that "B" commits an equivocation by assuming that what most people "take" necessarily is what they are "obligated" to do. So...

Q16

D: is incorrect because it says use technology, and the passage suggests that under no circumstance (even if stringent restrictions are placed on technology to balance the use of it) is technology to be used as it relates to the environment? (line 57-58). I see why the correct answer is E. E, "...

Re: Q22

I initially chose A also, but I would say that it is in addition to the reason above factually wrong because of "rely on both." This is unsupported and the author doesn't state that scientist must rely both on language and math in the pursuit of scientific knowledge.

Re: Q17 - Council Member: The preservation of individual propert

I was actually torn between B and D, and ended up picking D. However, I am not sure why B is irrelevant. Is it because "property taxes" and "property rights" are mutually exclusive concepts? This is in turn leaves the paradox unanswered, correct? I'm wondering what to take from t...

Re: Q12

I would like to attempt to show that in addition to the above explanation A) is provable and certainly less of a stretch to conclude than B) based on the following. Lines 34-38 contain a sentence that says Porter's book contains the issue of unique ties to African artisanship. Also, the next sentenc...

Re: Q24 - Scientists, puzzled about the development

Where? The assumption referred to in the question stem is as the question stem says, "unstated." So, it isn't physically in the stimulus. However, we can imagine it to be (just like assumptions in other questions) between the premises (in this case the phenomenon), and the conclusion (in t...

Re: Q21

Is "amended" were E) goes wrong? The reason being that nothing in the passage was amended.

Re: Q12

The question stem is not asking you to select an answer choice that explains the "emergences," rather the question stem is asking for an "assumption Barbu makes in lines 21-23.

Re: Q5

Would C) be inferred as he incorrect answer in paragraph two?

Paragraph two states PW's potential, namely due to her experience in "themes from (African oral) fold art," and this wasn't permitted by the English guidelines in poetry.
