RC Strategy Guide Chap. 5 Inference Drill P. 115

by ChelseaT448 Mon Jun 22, 2020 4:19 pm

Hello,

In RC Strategy Guide (2020 edition) Chap. 5 Inference Drill on pages 115 and 117, Mini-Passage A, the explanation for Question A4 states that "The Earth's core is bigger than the Moon" cannot be inferred. However, this contradicts with the explanation for Question A7, which claims that the astronomer's assumption that "the Moon's core was smaller than the Earth's" is correct.

Can you help me to understand these contradicting explanations?

Thank you,

Chelsea

Sure thing, Chelsea!

The assumption that has been proven correct is this: The Earth's core is bigger than the Moon's core.

Question A4. states that the Earth's core is bigger than the Moon itself.

Hope this helps!
