Question type??- "interprets X's remarks to mean.."

by wj097 Wed Apr 17, 2013 5:05 am

Hello, I came across some abnormal question stems and wanted to confirm whether I am understanding them correctly

"The student has interpreted the professor's remarks to mean that"
"most likely interpreting X's remarks to be"

=> approached like a flaw question, trying to see what went wrong and describing that flaw.

Thx

Yup, you've got it.

These lean a bit more towards issues like skewing the meaning of a word, which is not a typical flaw for ID the flaw questions, which tend to hinge on something more easily thought of as an assumption.

If there are some specific examples that are bugging you, let's talk about them in the relevant forum threads.
