Hello,
I got (A) when I went through, but I would like to discuss (C).
Would (C) be more tempting if it stated "modern critics" instead of just "critics"? From my understanding of the passage, an issue that leads to the misinterpretation of Webster's characters is the "modern critics" comparison of Webster's work to morality plays and traditional Elizabethan drama, and not to classic Italian drama from which his work finds inspiration. Perhaps this is because "modern critics" do not adequately understand the classic Italian drama, which would lead to answer (C).
Just trying to clarify why the wrong answers are wrong. Thanks for your help!
