I thought D is supported by lines 20 -21.
Or... am I wrong?

The passage actually says that (D) is true of Spanish poetry, not Latin American.

Lines 27-28 say "Spanish poets seem to take their language for granted".

"Take for granted" in this context meant that the Spanish poets are conservative and accepting of the Spanish language. They don't use Spanish is radical or experimental ways.

Meanwhile, the Latin American poets are critical, irreverent, avant-garde, innovative, and challenging.

==== other answers ====
(A) 42-43
(B) 28-29
(C) 3-6, 39-42
(E) 3-6, 39-42

Hope this helps.

I luckily picked D since it was the obvious wrong choice but A was tricky.

Mostly because I understand the haiku was written by a Mexican, and to me they aren't Latin American. Anyways, right after that example the author says " another of the latin american poets' response.." so I guess you can infer based on the passage that the author/passage assumes that the mexican is latin american.

Guess its another lesson of not getting real world knowledge mixed up with LSAT knowledge.
