This question requires that we understand the overall main point of each passage so that we can compare the two. The correct answer, (A), lines up with the distinction noted on our scale: both passages are concerned with animal communication, but passage A only discusses honeybee communication, while passage B discusses other forms. Passage A, in other words, fits under the larger umbrella of passage B.
(B) is a contradicted interpretation. In lines 39-48 and the final paragraph of passage B, evidence adduced by scientists is discussed.
(C) Is a contradicted interpretation. Passage B is about other animals, not just honeybees (37-38).
(D) Tempting, but this is out of scope. Nowhere does Passage B "explain" the distinction between symbolic and nonsymbolic communication; if anything, it only implies that there is one (38). And passage A does not seem to make use of this distinction.
