Q5 - Because of a perceived social stigma

Hey, this question is giving me some trouble, which is annoying for me because Main Conclusion questions are generally not very difficult for me.

I chose answer choice (C), because I took the first part of the stimulus to be background information. Then I took, "they should not be, however(borrowing language that is meant to refute another point of view)," to be the conclusion, with "for many younger people have benefited greatly from it..." as being supporting premises.

Any thoughts on why (E) is the credited response?

I believe (E) is incorrect b/c the stimulus does not say that elderly people are less inclined it says that they are discouraged due to the social stigma. There is a difference b/w being inclined by younger people and being discouraged in a weird sense I guess ?

(E) is wrong because it's not the conclusion. The conclusion is (C), the point that elderly people shouldn't be hesitant to go to therapy. (E), I would say, is a rewording of a premise.

Likewise, (A) is not the conclusion but a premise.
(B) is unsupported by the stimulus.
(D) is only borderline what the argument implies (and not the conclusion).

Remember that on these main conclusion questions, the conclusion often, as it does here, appears in the middle of the argument.
