How can we know they were "less likely" to report the observation?
The passage says "more commonly reported"...
Is it because it also says there are so many reports and they cannot be all accurate??

Thank you

I think you were dialed in to the correct line reference. LSAT lives and breathes in rephrasing comparative ideas -- the "other side of the same coin" inference.

My hair is wet = My hair is not dry

John has more money than Sally = Sally has less money than John

Following Herculina , secondary occultations were more commonly reported = Prior to Herculina , secondary occultations were less commonly reported .

Let me know if that clarifies or if you still have questions/qualms.

Thanks for the explanation.
But I guess the real question is, the passage says after Herculina, there were more reports;
While the answer says, if there were Herculina-like reports before Herculina, there would be LESS reports.
Why LESS, not MORE?

It says "less likely to report", not "less report".

Yeah. If it were a count, the correct word would be "fewer"!

So is that because there were observations in the past rather than now, there will be less likely to have reported observation now cuz it might already be reported in the past?

Thanks!
