PT 32, S3, Q4: If George, Nina, and Robert...

I'm stumped with this completely....please help.

Well... where are you stumped? It could be because your diagram is incomplete, or because you missed an inference somewhere.

Here's what we know:
1. George, Nina, and Robert must each give a report.
2. George is sometime on Tuesday

Now look at the conditional constraint for Nina. When Nina is included, as she is in this question, Helen and Irving have to give reports the next day UNLESS Nina goes on Wednesday.

Clearly, we can't have Helen and Irving going on the same day because either George or Robert must go on both of the days that Nina doesn't. Therefore:

3. Nina goes on Wednesday.

Finally, Robert must go in the morning, and since George is on Tuesday and Nina is on Wednesday:

4. Robert must go on Monday morning

(B), (C), and (E) drop like flies, and it can't be (D) because according to the constraints, Olivia can't go in the afternoon.
