This is a local question asking us for what is a complete and accurate list of people that could be 4th when F is second.

A large part of this game is obviously the placement of the TS block and the 3 F's that cannot be beside one another.

I now decide where I can place my TS block and have the other 2 F's not touch touch any F.

I go ahead and draw out another diagram above it because I know that there is a real possibility of there being more than one place for the TS block to go. I take note that with F being second, there cannot be an F first or third. This means I need 2 F's somewhere between 4-7.

I decide the first place for my TS block attempt is spots 3-4, as this would also tell me if S is apart of the list that could go fourth.

I easily see that this can work: F can go in 5 and 7. M can go in 6.

Now I attempt to slide the TS block to the right one slot at a time. I notice that TS could not go 4-5, as we could not place the remaining 2 F's without touching one another.

I continue to move it to the right, this time at 5-6, and this can easily work: Place the F's at 4 and 7. M can go in 3.

I slide the TS block in my mind one last time, the 6-7 slots. It cannot go there as the 2 remaining F's would touch another F.

So we only have 2 hypotheticals and they have F and S going 4th as possibilities. This is our answer.

i understand why F and S can go in meeting four but why can't R go in meeting four? Or how would you test R?

Hi Mitra,

The reason why R cannot go into 4 is because placing F into position 2, only allows for two possible placements of the TS chunk: it must go in [3 + 4] or [5 + 6]. If you run out both options, the remaining 2 meetings with F fall into place; thereby excluding R from the 4th meeting.

Hope that helps!
