This is the Attitude question. While they usually ask for the author's attitude, this one asks for given figure's attitude from the passage.

35-36 states that “it(parliament) could change even the Constitution by its ordinary acts of legislation.” And this is the concrete event of evidence that supports and results from English's change in attitude.

Let's go to the answer choices.

A) We know that they started preferring Parliament, but we don’t know if they were “uncomfortable” or not. They could have just felt that Parliament was more suitable for a society that they dreamt of. And we are not given any other evidence than instance of King to support the claim they were uncomfortable with “institutions” that claim for absolute power. Insufficient evidence to support this claim.

B) Although we can make a conjecture about this, the passage doesn’t provide a direct evidence of this kind.

C) Just as discussed above, there is a direct evidence with this. (Correct)

D) Unsupported. The author doesn’t implicate any faulty behavior or lack of qualification from King’s part, although one might be prone to make this sort of assumption.

E) Too general and no support for this claim at all from the passage.
