I thought that this as like this:

If lawyer-->have strong understanding (typically)
- strong understanding--> - law firm hire
(Minus signs are slash marks toiindicate no or not.)

The answer choice corresponds with my diagram,but answer was wrong.
Can you correct my diagram please?

Your diagram looks fine. I think you've made an assumption about Stanley. What do you know about Stanley? What would have to be true if he gets hired by the law firm but has a weak understanding of legal theory?
