Q20

by nbayar1212 Mon May 06, 2013 10:13 pm

Can someone please show a quick way of answering this question? When I was doing the game, I made three quick scenarios with G next to K, M, and P and hoped one of them would yield an answer but that doesn't seem like a good way to go about this ....

Please help.

Great question! As always, make sure to draw all possible inferences before looking at the answer choices. That will save you a lot of trial and error time.

Since the nature of this game makes it easier to understand with a diagram, please see attached.

Hope this answers your question!

Thank you for the explanation. Just one question, though; you say "we know that H can’t sit next to F, so she can’t be in the 2 seats next to F." Why can't there just be one seat between H and F? Your diagram has F and H with two seats between them and I can't seem to figure out why....

From my understanding, the rule just states H can't be immediately next to F or K, but still leaves open the possibility of there being one seat between them.

Am I missing something?
