Q20

by Jordanm303 Fri Jan 12, 2018 2:13 am

I don't understand why it is that Megregian reviews more plays than Jiang. I put (A) since Lopez already reviews less plays than Megregian but they both don't review the same plays as Jiang so I would imagine the Jiang also reviewed more plays than lopez. Any help?

These kind of up front inferences are discussed on the diagram thread, which I linked you to in response to Q23.

Everyone in this game has to review one or more of S, T, U.

The 1st rule says that M reviews more than K and L, so
if K or L review 2, then M would have to review 3.
if K or L review 1, then M could review 2 or 3.

The 2nd rule says that M and J don't review any of the same ones.

Because of this, we now know that M cannot ever review all 3.
any time you have an "enemy", you automatically can't do ALL the options

If M reviewed all 3 of S, T, U, then what would J review? Enemies have to save something for the other person.

Since we know that M must review exactly 2 plays, we know that J only gets to review 1 (whichever one of S/T/U that M doesn't review)

Hope this helps
