Q2 - When old growth forests

by soyeonjeon Tue Nov 06, 2012 8:18 am

I picked B as the answer. I do see that D more fundamentally resolves the paradox and addresses both the shrub and the undernourished. but still, why would B be incorrect?
I just would like to hear an explanation.

thanks.

So the paradox is:
more food but less well-nourished
Answer choice B has nothing to do with the "nutrient" topic at all. so it is out of the scope.

Yep! It's about nourishment--and it's unclear how (B) has anything to do with nourishment. (Is that clear, now?)

(A) doesn't have anything to do with resolving this paradox--we're not talking about other species.

(C) adds new information but doesn't resolve the issue.

(E) okay, but why would the deer in the cleared forests be less well-nourished?
