Q2

I don't understand how (C) is wrong. I also don't see how (D) is wrong. Either J or L have to be on stage so (D) cannot be true. I think that this rule also makes (A) & (B) correct choices too. Furthermore, "If Felipe is off stage, Jaclyn is also off stage." which gives us the contrapositive: If Jacklyn is on stage, Felipe is also on stage, so (B) cannot be true either.

What am I missing?

So (D) is the answer. You're right: (D) cannot be true.

Did you remember that 3 are men and 3 are women? Sounds like maybe not?

As for the others:

(A) is possible because you can have:

FGH on and HL off

(B) is possible:

GHL on and FJ off

(C) i possible because you can have:

JGF on and L off with H anywhere

(E) is possible because you can have:

JKFG on and L off with H anywhere
