Where do the rules forbid professors from being hired more than once? If not then I don't see how the game could be solved.

I'm not sure how we could have any of these teachers be hired in multiple years given the rules. From a quick glance, it seems to me that the only one that could be possibly in two years is P and I don't think any of the questions are written in such a way that that would impact it. If you see one that it would affect, I'd be interested to hear.

Let's look at #19 while we're here!

If we have exactly one professor in '91 we know that P must be in either '90 or '92. Looking through the answer choices:

(A) if P is in '90 this works!

(B) can never be true.

(C) puts P in '91 - not possible.

(D) never possible.

(E) never possible.
