I had a great deal of trouble with this game, but on doing it over I was able to get all but 17 correct. Could you please explain how to solve question 17? Thanks!

The trick is reading the constraint properly. If you read closely, you will realize that it isn't saying that only one chunk of mulch, and one chunk of stone can be placed on the line consecutively (that would be impossible if you can only have 3 bed cleanings), it is saying that you can't have more than 2 in a row of either. There is only one way to achieve that, which is mmssmss. With that order, you see that B is the only possible answer.

Nice work coryjlewis, but be careful! Theres one more possibility. It doesn't change the answer, and it's not possible that if you followed the rules you would be led to an incorrect answer using your hypothetical, but it is possible that an answer choice wouldn't have presented itself in the hypothetical you created.

The two possibilities are:

M M S S M S S
M S S M M S S
