Q16

by cyruswhittaker Wed Sep 01, 2010 12:58 am

Could you go over number 16?

My reasoning is that if S is not 6th, it must be 5th or 4th (three spaces for LM, O. If it's 5th, then R can't be 6th or 4th, so V is forced into 6th. If V is 4th, then R is forced into 6th, and V is forced into 5th. So B is correct: only two options.

Any tips on how I can get this faster? Overall the game went quickly but it took longer than around the 8 minutes I have.

Hi cyruswhittaker

Q16: if lemon is the 3rd, then we combine it with rule2 and get that marzipan is the 4th.

According to rule3, we know that orange is the 5th and strawberry is the 6th.

Now we are not sure of raspberry and vanilla, which are 1st and 2nd, but it is enough for us to eliminate (A)(C)(D)(E).

Here's how we arrived at answer choice (E).
