I think Sumukh nailed it, but just to clarify, I'll step in.
Edwina's conclusion does following from the premises she set forth. If true appreciation of his music demands that you hear it as he intended it to be heard, and if that would be the same as how he heard it, then we should listen on eighteenth-century instruments.
Alberto questions whether the way that Mozart heard it was the same as how he intended it to be heard. In other words, he suggests that her facts are totally wrong, as opposed to saying her argument doesn't work logically.
