For this one, I was also down to (B) and (E).
Answer Anticipation: My general prephrase going into the answers was "these passages talk about how comedians and chefs use social norms as a replacement to copyright infringement."
(A) Too vague of an answer and passage B talks about how recipes are not covered by I.P. law.
(B) The first part of this answer is good and for that reason, I kept this one. However, the second part is not mentioned in either of the passages. The passage doesn't discuss the incentives of enforcing their social norms.
(C) Also vague and broad. The "balancing" of the rights of the creators and making their creations public isn't what the authors are primarily concerned with.
(D) This seems more sided with passage A and why comedians don't use the available copyright laws for joke stealing.
(E) This is what we want. Chefs and comedians use social norms to enforce the theft of their intellectual property.
