Q13

by sno7 Tue Oct 24, 2017 7:10 am

I want to make sure I understood it correctly.

I think E) is correct because:

- In Passage A, the author argues that the fact that, in general, people are better at language than music, or "the primacy of language over music," (behaviors of modern humans) suggests that natural selection operated on language more so than it did on music because music had "little adaptive value" (evolutionary origins)

- The author of Passage B argues that emotional bonds are created when mothers sing lullabies to and engage in vocal interactions with their babies (evolutionary origins) explains why we can produce and enjoy music (behaviors of modern humans).

and B) is wrong because "ALL human capacities can be explained..." = too strong

Is this right?

Also, can someone please explain why D is definitely wrong?
