Q12

This is Agree / Disagree question.

Certain philosophers of science claims that scientific views are complete conjecture, but recent generation of historians claims that views were biased. So, they aren’t exactly the same, but in a sense that they are not definitely reflecting the reality, they are similar.

Now, let's go to the answer choices.

A) Difficulty in understanding is not discussed.
B) Just as we discussed above, they share similarities. (Correct)
C) Did NOT say that they are the source. It merely said that recent historians form allies with the philosophers (11-12)
D) Unsupported. This is what the author said about the recent historians.
E) Whether they have acknowledged or not is not discussed. Unsupported.

The most relevant phrase I found in the passage for answering this question was: "it is an easy step from their [the philosophers of science's] views to the extremism of the historians."

Couldn't one say the "easy step" from one to the other makes these views "difficult to differentiate?" i.e. answer choice (A). The word "allies" (12) is also relevant here, I think. I found (B) to be understating the relationship between them
