I have the iphone app and was doing the P + (A) = C game.
I think I'm either diagraming this wrong or thinking about it incorrectly.
It is set up like this:
P: Those who take regular naps tend to have more inconsistent nighttime sleeping patterns than those who don't take naps.
(A): (Those who have more consistent sleeping patterns tend to sleep longer than those who don't.)
The correct answer was:
C: Those who take regular naps tend to sleep less than those who don't
I think my problem is that these are comparative statements. I started out diagraming (in my head) the premise as:
RN -> Inconsistent
[i.e. those who take regular naps implies they are more likely to have inconsistent....]
The given assumption I thought of as:
consistent (or ~Inconsistent) -> sleep longer
If I contrapose the given assumption I link the two statements as:
~sleep longer OR RN -> Inconsistent
This obviously doesn't bring me to the right conclusion. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you
