Q13

by DevorahK415 Sat May 16, 2020 6:00 pm

Since we cannot infer much, how exactly are we supposed to solve this game?

I started with three days, two lines staked on top of each other in 2 categories (short and long).

I missed the meaning of the consecutive piece originally, so then I moved the two lines horizontal in 3 groups (also horizontal).

But the rules didn't limit enough from what I could tell.

I doubt we're just supposed to draw out all possible solutions.

So can we take a step back on how to solve this game?

Thanks.

Sure thing!

You're right that you can't make major up-front inferences here, so that means you have to play the game question by question. Lucky for us, almost all the questions are conditional, so they give us new info that we can build hypotheticals around.

In your setup, do you have a second tier in which to represent Long vs. Short? That will help.

My setup for this is really minimal:

___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ S S S L L L
___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ G O P H N T
1 2 3

Beside that I have the two tree rules, and I built the subcategory of each element on top of it so I didn't forget it. So, for example, rule 3 looks like so:

S __ L
N P

And to represent rule 1, I drew an SL cloud above each of the three days.

Hope this helps!
