Game Diagram

by andrewgong01 Fri Nov 17, 2017 7:50 pm

I think what made this game hard (I struggled with this one the most of the 4 games on the actual exam too) was the rule on Q is offered THE DAY before G (i.e. consecutive ) and how to diagram that rule because I recall reading on various internet blogs after the exams over wether or not this rule was conditional.

From retrospect was it that it said "THE gazpacho" and the fact that gazpacho only goes once that allows us to say that Q is allowed to repeat without taking the G with it on the repeat?

My Set up
QG _ P _ _ OR _QGP_ _
Big Pause
L FLOATS
G and N priority fixtures to ensure only show up once
P is limited if it repeats
Slot 2 is always Q or G
Brute force may work too for this game because it seems like the QG frame did not provide much and we could have easily figured it out or developed diagrams on the spot.

What I seem to notice about myself in games is that even when I do frame diagrams I tend to always re-draw a diagram for the question anyways, which seems to partly detract from the whole point of more up front work but at the same time I feel that frames provides me with more understanding at the start on what are the key variables; however, I think rarely have i ever solved a game where my work was all "See Frame 1, See Frame 2 etc"
