Can someone post up the set up for this question? Is it a 3D numbered/Relative ordering game? Thanks

Here you go -

this is a very unusual, super-messy game (i'd even call it 4-d) --

i don't think one diagram can capture all of this perfectly -- i've attached what, realistically, you would see on my paper on test day --

i'll challenge you to figure out exactly how i got all the inferences -- i also imagine there are also a few i missed! of course, feel free reach out if you get stuck or have any further questions.

This one absolutely stumped me until I laid out the diagram so that all six dogs were along one line, with four receiving ribbons and two not. Then I was able to map out the inferences achieved from the fifth inference. Once I did this I was able to draw a lot more inferences and answer the questions relatively smoothly. I'll try to represent my diagram below. Let me know what you think!

_P/Q__ __P/Q__ __S__ __Q/T__ / __U,Q/T__ __U,Q/T__
............................ FL
..........(MG,MG,FG)................... /.....(ML-U, M?)

I'd love to see a new diagram for this game. Any takers? The 4D of it is really throwing me off

This is so annoying. I just mapped it out but can't post the photo of it. I basically divided it in two groups, one for ribbons (4 dogs in sequential order) and one without ribbons (2 dogs). You know that U has to be out since S HAS to be the Lab included, which really helps beat the game.

The hardest part of this was knowing how to divide the groups up. I definitely couldn't work with an "open grouping" diagram

I have attached my diagram for this game. I work better with layers, especially when having to keep track of so many variables.

Meh I don't know how to attach a file so I'll just have to do it ASCII style. But I believe there is a way to diagram it in a fashion we are all more familiar with.

_ _ _ _ _ _ FF MMMM
_ _ _ _ _ _ GL
_ _ _ _ _ _ PQRSTU
1 2 3 4

I only listed to 4 because in terms of positions, we're only concerned with the ribbon winners (1rst, 2nd, 3rd, 4th). 5 and 6 are essentially the same.

This is the basic diagram. You can even draw a vertical line between 4 and 5 to further create a barrier between ribbon winners and non-ribbon winners (aka loser dogs).

There are a lot of inferences to make out, but I won't include them, because that would take the fun out of the game ;)

Here's another setup. Did you find all of these inferences?!

Can someone please explain why S, P and R have to be included? How does a requirement of where variables are placed relative to each other matter if not all variables are included in the game? It doesn't seem to make sense. For example, why couldn't the board include P, R, U and T? I've played quite a few games, not every single one, but I've never had an issue like this. Thank you for the help.
