Q26

by lhermary Fri Apr 20, 2012 2:02 pm

I got this question right but I just want to make sure that my thought process was correct.

B) is wrong because is says 'many'. Many could be three executives.

C) is wrong because 'most have a say'. If it said something like 'most have a final say' then it would be correct.

D) is right because it says ''Most' Hollywood executives add its ability to satisfy movie goers'

Is this correct?

(B) is also wrong because even if they got to where they are by making satisfying movies, does that mean they're making satisfying movies now? Maybe they changed their priorities after becoming execs.

(C) "final" would make it a better weakener, yes.

(D) completely destroys the argument that just because studio execs are going for profit, they're sacrificing its emotional value.

my choices were A and D. I didn't choose D because of "...chances of earning a profit also add to its ability to satisfy..." I figured, gaining the ability to satisfy doesn't mean the execs are doing it. :\

upon a closer reading of choice A, I realized just because they consider the film's ability to satisfy emotionally, doesn't mean they care, or would make any decisions based on that consideration?
