I hear you. It's a common problem, and there isn't "something" you're doing wrong that's causing you to always get down to two answers, one of which is right and one of which is wrong. Most students find themselves in this situation when they're debating between answer choices.
Remember to compare the final two answer choices to the argument itself in LR and to the passage itself in RC. Don't compare them to each other. You can look back and forth between them to make sure you understand how they're different, but once you do, the key is how they each relate to the argument. How they compare to each other doesn't matter.
That's my best tip besides reviewing strategy and practicing it diligently (without music or the TV on, and without texting after every question!). Don't cry, you still have a few weeks to build good habits. Good luck.
