Need tips and suggestions for digital note taking

Hey! I have been taking notes on paper throughout my student life but recently I had to move a lot and I came to the realisation that I cannot carry all my registers and notebooks which hampered my studies a lot so I have decided to pick up digital note taking.

I need suggestions for following situation-

I have a laptop and I will be typing the notes so need the most suitable application for it (I am looking at one note)

How do you all organize your notes and revise it

What are possible difficulties I will be looking at

Any suggestions I am complete noob in this domain
