Moving in on festival weekend - when best to avoid traffic?

I'm moving to Reading on Friday the 23rd of August which, unbeknownst to me until recently, is the weekend of Reading festival. My original plan was to drive up Friday evening (2-3 hours from Devon), but I'd like to do my best to avoid any crazy traffic getting into Reading (just East of the town centre).

Does anyone know what my best bet may be timing wise? Would late Friday evening/night, or maybe even early Saturday morning, be my best option?
