Memorization

I have a really big history exam coming up (my future pretty much depends on it) and it's a 100 years' worth of history and political leaders. Any tips on how I can memorize it faster and remember it for a long time? (Please don't say basic stuff like active recall, I need it to stick with me for at least 6 months).
