Logic Game Rule Confusion

by rich.moran78 Sat Jan 11, 2014 4:07 pm

Good afternoon.

I was hoping someone can help me resolve my confusion regarding a specific rule in Logic Games.

I am studying from Manhattan Logic Games and I am coming across a rule that is diagrammed differently. Perhaps I am losing my mind or missing a key word. Below is what I am referring to:

Pg 180 diagrams the following rule; Highwire was published exactly two years after Melted - as M_H. Now pg 195 as the rule; There are exactly two tours between the tour L and M and it is diagrammed as M_ _L.

My question is if the rule says "exactly' and followed by a number how is diagrammed?

Please advise.
Thanks,

Hey Rich,

Right now, it's 2014, right? If I asked what year was 2 years ago, you'd say "2012." If I asked you what year it will be in two years, you'd say 2016.

But if I asked how many years are there between 2012 and 2014, you'd say "one," because there's only 2013 in-between.

Does that help?
