In the Interact lesson on advanced diagramming it gives the conditional chain :

+MEAL —> +FOOD —> +SOIL —> +FARMING —> +CULTURE

and then states the contrapositive as

- CULTURE —> - FOOD —> - SOIL —> -FARMING —> - MEAL

But it seems to me the above contains some illegal negations. Am I wrong in thinking it should be:

- CULTURE —> - FARMING —> - SOIL —> - FOOD —> - MEAL

You are correct, the contrapositive should look as you wrote it.
