ERROR! GAME #17 OFFICE CUBES

by MylesB926 Thu Aug 06, 2020 11:20 pm

Question #4 is WRONG.

If (B) is correct then (D) must also be correct because both M & R must be equidistant from the corner cubicle.

Please fix.

Hi there!

While you're correct that in the hypothetical that proves B correct, M and R are equidistant from the corner, D isn't a correct answer.

B says that M is separated from the corner by exactly 2 cubicles. D says R is separated from the corner by exactly 3.

The diagram that proves B is:

M
Q
P
S ( T V) R

Consider the parentheses around TV to indicate a "cloud": we don't know which is closer to the corner but we know that together, they occupy those two cubicles.

In this diagram, both M and R are separated from the corner by two cubicles, not three.

Hope this helps!
