Here's a .pdf showing how we diagrammed this one and worked through the questions.

Did you have a different way of doing it? We love to hear it / see it.

And if you're having trouble following our inferences or symbolization, feel free to ask us follow-up questions.

I don't know if I got lucky in this game or discovered a new way but I separated F and G like this

in one frame i put F/G switching on Monday and Tuesday and in another frame I put F/G switching on Tuesday and Wend, which basically means there is always an F/G on Tuesday,

Like I said, I don't know if I just got lucky with the answers on this one because I know that if F/G goes in on Monday doesn't mean the other one goes on Tuesday since it could go on Wend.

Hey just wanted to quickly make a note on your inference above when you state that "there is always an F/G on Tuesday. I was a little confused because you said that "basically means there is always an F/G on Tuesday", but then you said that "if F/G goes in on Monday doesn't mean the other one goes on Tuesday since it could go on Wend." The two things you stated are sort of contradictory. Regardless though, your last sentence is correct, the former not so. F/G doesn't always have to be on Tuesday, they could be split along Monday and Wednesday.

M T W
F J I
H G

In this diagram above, you can see how we can have an F and G separated between Monday and Wednesday. Just to make sure let's go through the rules. F and G are not together. I is in W. There is exactly two still in T. H is not in M. Lastly, we have at least one in M. Since we satisfied all the rules this game board works. The way you split up the game board above with F/G on Mond./Tues. and Tues./Wed makes sense, but you forgot the third possiblity of them being split along Mond./Wed. Really the important thing I found with this game is really just the distribution of slots. With the rules it tells us Tuesday has exactly 2 (only 2). Wednesday has at least one with I. Monday as at least one. We have five entities, thus the last slot must go Mond. or Wed. Figuring that out made the game go by quicker. Luckily enough, the questions never had us split up the gameboard to the extent where F and G are separted along the lines of Monday and Wednesday. Be careful when making inferences because if you had came across a question where it would have given you a new premise that split F and G along Monday and Wednesday you could have been paralyzed given the fact that you may have thought at least one of F/G must go in Tuesday.

You can actually split this game into three subgameboards, where two of them almost map them out completely, but that is your prerogative. Hope this helps.

You are right, my explanation is actually completely off. I just got lucky with this game even though my set up was wrong, I could have easily missed a lot of questions if they asked about F/G a lot. My mistake was that I placed F in Monday and assumed that means G can go into Wend only and then placed F in Wend and assumed G goes into Th. I can't delete my post but I hope no one reads it and gets confused lol

Hey no worries. I would even say don't delete it if you could because if someone else also reads your post with similar thinking then at least they know someone else thought the same way and maybe it will help them in the future. Your question and thought process is completely valid and admirable. We all make mistakes and for sure I definitely do all the time lol.
