Okay go this game has me completely baffled.
1st condition: each conference participant attends exactly 2 sessions which are different topics on different days.

Does this mean maria for example can attend hiring and regulations or maria can attend one topic one day and seond topic has to be in aanother?

Does every topic has to be attended? I don't see that but wondering if i missed it.

Lastly, at most 2 capital employees attend anybgiven session means 2 per day or only 2 per topic?

I thinkbi' getting topics and sessions confsued ans unable to see the diagram clearly. Please clarify these points! Thank you so much!

Yeah, it's a tricky one! I mentioned in the diagram above that conceptualizing this one was half the battle (or perhaps more!).

To answer your questions:

yoohoo081 Wrote:1st condition: each conference participant attends exactly 2 sessions which are different topics on different days.

It means Maria has to attend topic X on one day, and a different topic on a different day. She can't attend two topics on the same day, nor can she attend the same topic on different days.

yoohoo081 Wrote:Does every topic has to be attended? I don't see that but wondering if i missed it.

No, you were correct. It doesn't state that every topic has to be attended. Good catch (though I think your confusion about #8 stemmed from this confusion).

yoohoo081 Wrote:Lastly, at most 2 capital employees attend any given session means 2 per day or only 2 per topic?

2 per topic. 3 per day is fine.

I feel like you just get sent on a roller coaster ride! You all good?

from the diagram, i don't understand why there are T's on top of I for 1 and 2. also, is the second 2 supposed to be a 3 for day 3?

additionally, why are there vertical blocks for MH, MR, SH and SR?

Since T is restricted from attending any conference on day 3 (which is incorrectly is written as "2" in the diagram as you point out - thanks!), he must attend a conference on day 1 and 2.

Since M and S can't attend investing, and each participant must attend two different sessions, each must attend both H and R. The vertical blocks are used since both M and S will be placed in an H group and an R group.

That all make sense?

i understand it better, but i still have questions. from rules #1 and #4, can't MS share H in day 1 and MS share R in day 2? the rules don't seem to say they must separate sessions.

it says, "At most two Capital employees attend any given session together."

Yes, they can share, the chunk doesn't mean that nobody else can be in that group, just that we need to see an M assigned to H, an M assigned to R, an S assigned to H...

That clear it up?

FWIW I've found that putting the days, (1,2,3) on the X axis, and the names (M,S,T) on the Y axis makes this game pretty manageable.
