Best way to attack analagous questions

by ttunden Sun Aug 24, 2014 8:59 pm

Hi Manhattan Staff,

What do you think is the best way to approach these types of questions. In LR, I can easily approach these questions because the stimulus is right there for me to look at and I can summarize/paraphrase the reasoning utilized and/or conclusion.

For RC however, it is a little tricky. There are a few of these questions where it is pretty easy for me to answer but there are some that are very hard. I know that I have to look at the keywords in the question stem and then find it in the stimulus to see what the author says/does. I have a hard time translating this to the answer choices however.

Any tips/strategies?

examples:Q19 3rd passage PT 65
Q13 2nd passage PT Superprep C

Thanks
P.S. yes I have looked at the current Manhattan explanations but it still didn't really help as much as I would like. That's why I am posting this thread

Hey Ttunden,

This question is a little bit beyond the scope of the forums here. This is an entire question type, and one that is treated at great length in the book. If that methodology isn't working for you, I might make the terrible recommendation (Terrible for us!) that you try some other company's materials. You've already heard ours! : )

Thanks for the recommendation
