1. Check whether you're doing Inference or Strengthen, based on the keyword(s) leading up to the blank.
If it's something like, "It follows that ______ " , "Hence, ______ ", or any other conclusion keyword, think Inference.
If it's something like "Since _____ " or "Because _____ ", think Strengthen.
Most of these are written in the Inference style, so do what you normally do:
- Read for facts that can be synthesized
- Beware strong language or new ideas in the answer choices
The cool thing about the stimulus in Logical Completion Inference vs. normal Inference, is that with Logical Completion there are very consistently TWO strands of thought presented, and our conclusion finds a safe way of tying them together.
With normal Inference, we sometimes read sets of facts with 4-6 loosely connected facts, so there's not necessarily any conversational momentum leading to a certain Inference.
With logical completion, there almost always is some momentum, because your job is essentially to think of a safe way to pull together the two strands of the discussion.
