Arrow Direction in Binary Games

by pollo101 Thu Jun 06, 2013 3:50 pm

I am a little confused as to where to draw arrows in some of the games. If one of the conditions is that if T is selected if S is selected, then do I begin drawing the arrow from T and point it to S, or start the arrow at S and point it to T?

Hi pollo101, lets focus on the statement a bit. You asked about the statement:

T is selected, if S is selected.

"If" introduces the sufficient condition (trigger) and so you should build an arrow from the letter following the word "if."

S --> T

Lets change it up though. Lets say the statement reads:

T is selected, only if S is selected.

"Only if" introduces the necessary condition (outcome) ans so you should place S at the end of the arrow.

T --> S

Does that answer your question?
