Hi pollo101, lets focus on the statement a bit. You asked about the statement:
T is selected, if S is selected.
"If" introduces the sufficient condition (trigger) and so you should build an arrow from the letter following the word "if."
S --> T
Lets change it up though. Lets say the statement reads:
T is selected, only if S is selected.
"Only if" introduces the necessary condition (outcome) ans so you should place S at the end of the arrow.
T --> S
