Hi, why can't (C) be the right answer?

The first passage talks about "Brain imagining" and "neurological system for processing sound" in the second paragraph. Also the last paragraph mentions "neurological basis."

The second passage talks about "brain size increas[ing]" in the last paragraph. I was thinking brain is also a part of our nerve system, so I thought the second passage also touches on "neurological research" in someway.

Above is why I chose an incorrect answer choice (C). Can anyone explain why (C) cannot be the answer and (B) is the correct answer?
